East Nusa Tenggara (abbreviated as NTT) is a province in Indonesia which covers the eastern part of the Nusa Tenggara Islands. This province has its capital city in Kupang City and has 22 districts/cities. East Nusa Tenggara is an archipelago province which consists of 1,192 islands, most of which are uninhabited. Of all the existing islands, 42 are inhabited while the rest are uninhabited. NTT is known as 'Flobamorata' which comes from the names of 5 large islands, namely; Flores, Sumba, Timor. , Alor and Lembata.

In the north there are large islands such as the island of Flores which stretches from West Manggarai Regency, Central Manggarai Regency, East Manggarai Regency, Ende Regency, Nagakeo Regency, Ngada Regency, Sikka Regency, and the eastern end of East Flores Regency. There is also the island of Lembata in the district of Lembata, and the large island of Alor in the district of Alor. In the south there is the island of Timor which is the seat of the provincial capital, namely Kupang, Sumba, Rote and Sabu islands, and hundreds of small exotic islands, some of which are not yet inhabited by humans. ...

Almost all islands in the NTT region consist of mountains and limestone hills. From a number of mountains there are volcanoes that are still active. On the islands of Flores, Sumba and Timor there are savanna and steppe areas broad.

The total population of this province is 4,683,827 people with a population growth rate of 2.07%. The number of male population is 2,326,487 people and female population is 2,357,340 (2010) The population density in East Nusa Tenggara is 96 people/km2, with a percentage of the population living in urban areas of approximately 20%, and the remaining 80% living in rural areas.Most of the population is Christian with the following percentage details Catholic 54.14 % Protestant 34.74%, Islam 9.05% , Hindu 0.11% Buddhist 0.01% and as many as 1.73% adhere to other religions and beliefs.
